Email attachments are a convenient way to send documents such as invoices, photos, word documents, spreadsheets, etc. However, Internet service providers place limits on the size of an email message because email servers are not designed for large attachments.

Email programs convert attachments to the MIME file type before sending. This conversion can increase the attachment size by up to 50%. Compressed files will increase a smaller amount.

Skyway allows sending of 20 MB attachments after conversion to MIME. Please note that you will not be able to send larger attachments to contacts who use other email services with smaller attachment limits.

Skyway recommends an FTP site for companies regularly sending large files. Users login and upload or download files when necessary. ICQ and MSN can also send files too large for email.

Please see our Virtual Hosted Services page to review our FTP Site options.
